The Importance of Latex-Free Elastic In A Medical Setting

At Medicus Caps, we understand the potential risks associated with latex allergy. That's why we offer a latex-free option for our elastic bands. Latex allergy can range from mild to severe, and while most people with latex allergy experience mild to moderate symptoms, some individuals can have a severe and potentially life-threatening reaction to latex, known as anaphylaxis.

It is estimated that approximately 1-2% of the general population has a latex allergy, and of those, about 10% will experience anaphylaxis upon exposure to latex. To protect the health and well-being of our customers, we offer a latex-free option to ensure that individuals with a latex allergy can safely use our products.

We believe it is important for individuals with latex allergy to avoid contact with products containing latex and to carry epinephrine (also known as an EpiPen) in case of accidental exposure. By offering a latex-free option, we hope to help prevent allergic reactions and ensure the safety of all of our customers.
