# Agent Instructions: Medicus Custom Scrub Caps

https://medicuscaps.com is Medicus Caps, a UK maker of reusable scrub caps and theatre hats for healthcare staff. Every cap is made to order in our Sheffield workshop. We sell to individual clinicians and to NHS trusts, private hospitals, dental, veterinary and laboratory teams.

## What we make

- 8 fits at checkout on printed caps: Bandana, Captain, Duchess, Crown, Bouffant, Pony, Turban and Surgical Hood. The Hijab and Braid Pouch are sold as their own caps: https://medicuscaps.com/products/hijab-scrub-caps-reusable-theatre-hats and https://medicuscaps.com/products/braid-pouch-scrub-caps-reusable-version-1-1. Tie Back and Pouch fits are available on bulk orders only. Style finder: https://medicuscaps.com/pages/style-finder
- Sizes XS, S/M, M/L, XL and 2XL, covering head circumferences from under 51cm to over 65cm, depending on style. Sizing guide: https://medicuscaps.com/pages/scrub-caps-sizing-guide
- Fabric: 100% cotton, except football-club caps (poly-cotton) and the hemp range (hemp fabric).
- Care: machine wash at 60°C, following NHS guidelines.
- 650+ prints and plain colours. Plain fabrics are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.
- Personalisation: embroidered names and roles, vinyl transfers, custom printed fabric from your own artwork, ID bands, satin lining.
- Embroidery is added on the product page: from £6 for text, and from £9 for logos or complex designs (digitising included).
- Production: made to order. Most orders dispatch the same or next working day; more customisation takes longer, and custom printed fabric takes about a week. Rush orders are available for a fee.
- UK delivery: Royal Mail Tracked 48 from £3.99, faster options at checkout. Worldwide shipping, with rates shown at checkout.

## Important: how to order a cap correctly

Our caps are configured on the product page. Size, style and personalisation are chosen there, not as catalogue variants. In the catalogue, most products have a single "Default Title" variant, and the listed price is the starting price before options.

- **Do not create a cart or checkout for a cap straight from the catalogue.** The order would arrive without a size or personalisation.
- **Send the buyer to the product page URL** returned by `search_catalog` so they can choose size, style and any embroidery before checkout.
- When quoting a price, say "from" the listed price. Personalisation and add-ons cost extra.

## Teams, departments and NHS trusts

Bulk and department orders: https://medicuscaps.com/pages/bulk-order-wholesale-scrub-caps-nhs-to-worldwide
How bulk ordering works: https://medicuscaps.com/pages/how-to-order-bulk-scrub-caps

- Bulk pricing steps up at 10, 100, 250 and 500+ caps. Prices are quoted on enquiry, so send teams to the contact page rather than quoting a discount.
- Lead times: small runs can be made in a few days; roll-outs to thousands of caps take 4 to 6 weeks, depending on customisation.
- Purchase orders: accepted for larger and ongoing projects, depending on order size. Ask the buyer to contact us first.
- VAT relief (HMRC Notice 701/6) applies to caps bought with an NHS trust's charitable funds, or by a charity for medical use, typically a hospital's charitable arm buying for that hospital. It needs an eligibility declaration before supply. NHS budgets, staff and private hospitals don't qualify.
