This achievement marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to sustainability and actively reducing our environmental impact. Furthermore, we understand that achieving Carbon Neutral status is just one step in a larger journey toward environmental responsibility, and we are continuously looking for new ways to improve our practices.

Prioritizing Local Environmental Initiatives

When selecting our carbon offsetting program, we made it a priority to support projects within the UK. This decision ensures that our efforts contribute not only to global climate action but also to local environmental initiatives. For instance, one of the key projects we’ve supported is tree planting in Yorkshire. This project not only helps absorb carbon but also contributes to reforestation efforts and supports the local community. As a result, we’re able to make a meaningful impact both locally and globally.

Tree planting is perhaps what the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust is most well known for. Since starting in 1996 the trust has helped to plant around 1.5 million broadleaf trees, creating native woodlands of all shapes and sizes throughout the Yorkshire Dales and Nidderdale.
