Use Cases: Scrub Caps Replacing Hair Nets

As a chef or kitchen professional, maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen is essential.

In a kitchen or bakery, headwear has two jobs: keeping hair where it should be, and getting you through a long, hot shift. Disposable hair nets are the default in a lot of kitchens. Some teams are now looking at washable cotton caps instead, either on their own or over a net, depending on what their food safety procedures allow.

Long days

Our plain caps are 100% cotton, and each one is made to the wearer's head size, from under 51cm to over 65cm depending on style. The Duchess, Pony and Bouffant all have room at the back for longer or bulkier hair.

Wash it, wear it again

A disposable net is worn once and binned. A cotton cap goes in the wash at 60°C and comes back for the next shift, so you buy caps once rather than restocking boxes of nets.

A team look

Pick one plain colour for the kitchen and another for front of house, or add your logo or each person's name in embroidery. There's no minimum order for logo embroidery.

Check before you switch

Whether a cap can replace a hair net, or needs one underneath, is your food safety lead's call. Check any new headwear against your own procedures first, and try a few caps with your team before you order for everyone.
