Contour New
Our stretch jersey cap. The stretch makes it far more forgiving to size than our cotton styles, and it accommodates hair tied up more easily. Personalise it with embroidery.

What size scrub cap should I order?
Measure around the widest part of your head, just above your ears and across your forehead, then check the chart for your chosen style above. Each style fits differently, so use that style's chart rather than your usual hat size. Between sizes? Size up. The Contour is the exception: its stretch jersey is far more forgiving, so most heads sit comfortably in the M/L. Still unsure? Order a Sample Box and try real caps at home first.
What sizes do your scrub caps come in?
XS to 2XL, fitting head circumferences from under 51cm to over 65cm, depending on style. Not every style comes in every size: the Captain starts at S/M, the Pony and Turban come in M/L and XL, and the Hijab is one size. The Contour stretch cap comes in M/L and XL only, and its stretch makes it far more forgiving to size. Custom sizes are available on bulk orders of 50+ caps.
What if my scrub cap doesn't fit?
Size up if you're between sizes, especially for the Captain, which fits snugly. Every Medicus cap is made to order with your choices, so we can't accept returns on customised caps unless they're faulty or wrong. That's why we recommend the Sample Box: your payment is a refundable deposit, UK returns are free with the prepaid label, and your deposit comes back once the samples do.
Which style is best for long hair, braids or locs?
The Bouffant has room for bulky, curly and afro hair, and its 2XL is made for braids and dreadlocks. The Pony has a pouch for ponytails and buns, and the Duchess has space at the back to tuck hair in. The Braid Pouch cap is designed for braids, locs, twists and protective styles. For long or bulky hair, go one or two sizes up. The Contour's stretch accommodates hair tied up, so choose XL if you wear a lot of hair up. Satin lining protects your hair, but satin-lined caps fit a little more snugly, so size up for those too.
Which style works with glasses, ear loops or a stethoscope?
The Captain and the Crown both sit above the ears, leaving them free. The Captain has ties and elastic; the Crown is slip-on elastic only.
