Night shifts finish at breakfast, so sleep has to happen in daylight. Medicus Caps made this mask for the people we already make caps for: theatre teams, ward staff, and anyone whose rota ignores the sun.
It is cut from the same smooth polyester satin we use to line our caps. Every mask is made to order in Sheffield from the offcuts of that lining, so fabric that would otherwise go in the bin becomes something you will use every night. The shape is wide across the eyes and dips over the bridge of the nose, so it follows the face instead of sitting flat on it. The elastic strap is covered in matching satin and gathers softly at the back of the head.

Care is simple: machine wash at 40°C and leave to dry. One size. A good gift for the night-shift person in your life, and it sits well alongside a cap with their name and role on it.
