On every cap we make

Every Medicus cap has a passport.

Sewn inside every cap is a unique QR code. Scan it and the cap tells you its story.

What it is

Fabric, size and care instructions — the care guide lives with the cap, not in a drawer.

What it saves

Its CO₂ estimate vs the disposable hats it replaces, from our published lifecycle work.

How it's doing

Claim your cap to log washes and track its lifespan — and know when it's due a successor.

Where it ends

When it's done, mark it recycled and send it for textile recycling (snip off embroidery first).

Why we built it

Reusables only beat disposables if they're actually used, washed and kept in service — so we made that measurable. For individuals it's a care dashboard. For teams it's a fleet view: every cap, every wash, replacement due-dates and the CO₂ number your sustainability report can quote. It sits alongside our sustainability promise and the data behind it.

Ahead of the rules. The EU's Ecodesign regulation will require Digital Product Passports on textiles in the coming years. Every Medicus cap already ships with one.

For teams and organisations

Team and bulk orders include an organisation dashboard: caps in service across your team, washes logged, caps due for replacement and total CO₂ avoided — ready-made evidence for green accreditations and net-zero reporting. See team programmes →
