Reusable caps for kitchens and food teams
Our caps started in operating theatres. A lot of what matters there matters in a kitchen too: a cap sized to your head, in 100% cotton, that you wash and wear again rather than bin.
Choose a style that covers your hair the way you need, pick a plain colour for the team, and add your logo if you like.

Before you switch
- Check any new headwear against your own food safety procedures first. Your food safety lead should sign it off.
- Some sites ask for a hairnet under a cap. Find out whether yours does.
- Plain caps are 100% cotton and machine washable at 60°C.
- Standard caps fasten with ties or elastic, with no poppers. If your site needs a specific fastening, we can make caps to that design.
- Leave off optional extras such as buttons if your site restricts them.
- Medicus caps are workwear. They are not PPE.
Questions people ask
Can a cap replace a hairnet?
That depends on your site's food safety procedures, so it's your food safety lead's call, not ours. A small trial with a few caps is the easiest way to find out.
How do we wash them?
Plain caps machine wash at 60°C. We've also tested them on industrial laundry cycles over 100°C, though hotter washes shorten a cap's life.
Can we get our logo on them?
Yes. There's no minimum for logo embroidery, and bulk pricing starts from 10 caps.
Trial it with your team first
Order a handful in the styles and sizes your team needs, see how they work on shift, then scale up. Bulk pricing starts from 10 caps and is quoted on enquiry.
